 "When one party is in trouble, all parties offer help"—this is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation and a principle of mutual assistance among social members and even global members. On March 4, CIMC Jingmen Hongtu donated 5,000 US dollars in the fundraising event for the Ghana explosion accident on January 20, to support the Apeate community in carrying out disaster relief and reconstruction efforts.


  It is reported that on January 20, 2022, in the Apeate community of Bogoso town, Western Ghana, a truck carrying mining explosives collided with a motorcycle that suddenly entered its lane. Sparks generated by the impact then ignited the explosives. Satellite imagery of the scene showed a huge crater formed by the explosion, and multiple nearby buildings were destroyed, leaving the Apeate community almost in ruins, a horrific sight. According to statistics, the accident has caused 13 deaths, 59 injuries, and over 500 buildings suffering varying degrees of damage. Currently, most of the victims have been rescued and sent to nearby hospitals and clinics for treatment.

  After the accident, Genser Energy Company organized a fundraising event, calling on everyone to lend a helping hand to provide humanitarian aid to the affected area as soon as possible, improve the situation of the victims, and help them rebuild their homes. As a strategic partner of Genser Energy Company, CIMC Jingmen Hongtu actively responded to the call, hoping to contribute its modest efforts to the disaster relief. The funds raised will be used to purchase emergency relief supplies such as mattresses, blankets, food, and cleaning tools, to address the basic living needs of the affected people, and to assist the Apeate community in its post-disaster reconstruction work.
