Good news: Jingmen Hongtu successfully supplied the LNG marine storage system for China's first large-tonnage LNG dual-fuel dual-standard coastal bulk carrier, 'Innovation 11', which was successfully launched.

On the morning of December 11, "Innovation 11", China's first large-tonnage 15,500 DWT LNG-diesel dual-fuel, dual-standard coastal bulk carrier, invested and built by Hainan Chuanyuan Shipping Co., Ltd., was successfully launched at Yangzhou Longhe Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The LNG dual-fuel tank gas supply system onboard was manufactured and installed by Jingmen Hongtu Company, marking another solid step for Jingmen Hongtu in promoting clean energy applications.

It is reported that the "Innovation 11" vessel has an overall length of 143 meters, a reference cargo capacity of 15,000 tons, a designed hold capacity of 19,727.6 cubic meters, and a designed speed of 11.9 knots. The vessel features a double-bottom double-hull structure, three cargo holds, and a hydraulic hatch cover design. Its navigation area is domestic offshore, and it is classified by CCS.

LNG's main component is methane, recognized as the cleanest fossil energy on Earth. It is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. Its volume is about 1/625 of the same volume of gaseous natural gas, and its mass is only about 45% of the same volume of water. In recent years, along with the frequent introduction of policies by the state to develop and support green smart ships, especially on September 27 this year, five ministries and commissions—the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the Ministry of Transport—jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Green and Smart Development of Inland River Vessels." More and more shipping companies are beginning to choose LNG-fueled power supply systems. The demands for low-carbon and environmentally friendly development will accelerate the iteration and upgrade of ships. According to data released by DNV, in 2021 alone, global shipowners ordered 240 LNG-powered ships, exceeding the total of the previous four years.
Through years of research and exploration in green intelligent manufacturing and low-carbon environmentally friendly fuel equipment manufacturing technology, Jingmen Hongtu aims for "green, low-emission, and sustainable transportation." Focusing on the integrated development needs of the LNG industry chain, the company has developed new energy business equipment such as LNG transport vehicles, LNG bunkering barges, LNG storage tanks, marine LNG gas supply systems, and marine security control systems, laying a solid foundation for the industry to explore a path of green development.
