On November 18, 2022, at 3:38 PM local time in Nigeria, with the instruction "hook down" from the crane commander's walkie-talkie, after 40 days of hard work, the first ASME standard 10000m³ LPG spherical tank constructed by Jingmen Hongtu, a member enterprise of CIMC Enric, was successfully capped.

Looking back at the assembly process of the first 10000m³ spherical tank, many difficulties are still vivid. The local season in Nigeria is exactly opposite to that in China, being a season of high temperature and high humidity. To ensure the on-schedule delivery of the project, all project team members overcame difficulties such as severe high temperatures and harsh production environments, working busily and orderly at their respective posts. Accompanied by the deafening roar of the crane and the continuously flashing electric welding arcs, the assembly process of the spherical tank gradually advanced. Every drop of sweat is a trace of Hongtu people's dedication, embodying their struggle and perseverance.

As early as 2018, the company had a successful cooperation with the owner. The two 6000 cubic meter LPG spherical tanks and associated stations delivered in the previous project made the owner very satisfied. Therefore, among many suppliers for the new project, the owner unhesitatingly chose CIMC Jingmen Hongtu Company again. It is reported that this project includes not only 4 units of 10000 cubic meter LPG spherical tanks, but also 3 oil tanks and one fire water tank. Hongtu Company is responsible for the design, material procurement, in-field prefabrication, and on-site installation and commissioning of all spherical tanks, storage tanks, and pipelines for the project.

Upon learning that they would once again cooperate with an old customer on such a large-scale EPC project for spherical tanks, storage tanks, and pipelines, the company leadership attached great importance to it. After the project contract was signed, Zheng Zhijun, General Manager of Hongtu Company, immediately dispatched Liu Zhiyong, a senior project manager of the company, as the overall head of the project, to be fully responsible for its coordinated management. Facing the severe domestic and international epidemic situation, Hongtu employees bravely went against the current. Before their departure, General Manager Zheng boosted the morale of the project construction team, hoping that project members would ensure self-protection while guaranteeing the project's quality and quantity, and delivering it on schedule. At the same time, during the construction process, all construction personnel adhered to the concept of safe development, continuously implemented safety production responsibilities, strived to achieve the safety management goal of "zero accidents," effectively ensuring the continuous and stable development of Hongtu Company.

Following General Manager Zheng's instructions, Project Manager Liu Zhiyong strictly adhered to product safety and quality requirements. He conducted daily pre-shift safety morning meetings, reviewing safety and quality issues present on site the previous day, explaining the day's construction tasks and precautions. Through JSA (Job Safety Analysis) of the construction content, potential safety accidents were identified, and in response to these potential hazards, safety warnings were issued and supervised for implementation in advance.

Mr. Wasiu, Chairman of the owner company, stated: "In the construction of what is currently Nigeria's largest spherical tank project, your project team overcame numerous difficulties such as tight schedules, hot weather, and personnel health challenges, safely, efficiently, and with high quality completed the assembly of the first 10000m³ spherical tank, achieving satisfactory progress in just over a month. Despite the significant delays in our company's earlier civil engineering procedures, the CIMC Jingmen Hongtu team raced against time and successfully turned around the passive construction situation. We commend the dedication of Jingmen Hongtu's project construction team!"

It is reported that after completion, this project will become the largest LPG station in Nigeria and even in the West African region, greatly alleviating Nigeria's current "gas shortage" and "oil shortage" issues, and providing cleaner, more convenient energy for residents in the Lagos region of Nigeria. At the same time, the four 10000 cubic meter spherical tanks will stand out among the many nearby oil and gas facilities, becoming a landmark building in the area, playing a significant role in helping the owner company expand its corporate influence locally and further explore the market.
