The maiden voyage of the LNG-powered fishing vessel's gas supply system (including cold energy utilization system), manufactured by Hongtu Company, was a success.

Before the year, the first South China Sea LNG-powered fishing vessel equipped with an LNG shipboard gas supply system (including a cold energy utilization system), a key core equipment built and provided by Zhongji Jingmen Hongtu Company, successfully completed sea trials in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province.
This LNG-powered fishing vessel is a national high-tech scientific research and demonstration fishing vessel, and the first LNG fuel-powered vessel in China applied to the fishing industry and built strictly in accordance with specifications. The project is a sub-topic of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Research on High-Efficiency Energy-Saving Design and Application Technology for South China Sea Fishing Vessels" in 2012, aiming to change the backward status of South China Sea fishing equipment. The 60-cubic-meter LNG storage tank and its gas supply system module, natural gas double-walled pipe lines, LNG filling system, and LNG cold energy utilization system are manufactured by Hongtu Company.
The vessel mainly uses LNG clean energy as its primary fuel source, enabling the safe and efficient application of LNG clean energy on fishing vessels. Compared with conventional diesel-powered fishing vessels, it significantly reduces exhaust emissions.
The vessel is equipped with an LNG cold energy utilization system to use the cold energy released during LNG gasification for fish hold refrigeration.
Compared with the direct release of cold energy during the gasification process of traditional LNG, this system recovers and recycles the released cold energy, which can basically meet the refrigeration capacity requirement of -18℃ for the fish hold of this vessel, reduce the amount of ice carried by fishing vessels when going to sea, extend the fishing period of fishing vessels, and achieve the purpose of green energy saving and resource recycling.
As China's first LNG-powered fishing vessel with cold energy utilization, the design and construction of the LNG storage tank and its gas supply system, natural gas double-walled pipe lines, LNG filling system, and LNG cold energy utilization system are complex. Relying on years of accumulated R&D strength and manufacturing experience in this field, Hongtu Company successfully completed this project, contributing to the promotion of clean energy applications in China's marine fishing vessels and further expanding the company's technical field in the manufacturing of LNG equipment for water transportation.

On April 28, 2025, a ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and awarding national model workers and advanced workers was held in Beijing.
