Self-designed "dual-fuel" gas compression platform to operate in Mexican waters

On the morning of August 28, 2015, CIMC Raffles launched the AGOSTO-12 self-elevating gas compression platform, independently designed and built for Coastal Contracts of Malaysia, at its Longkou base. It will soon be deployed to Mexican waters for operation.
The platform utilizes CIMC Raffles' TAISUN200B design. It has an overall length of 75 meters, a width of 50 meters, a maximum operating water depth of 55 meters, an air gap of 19 meters, a penetration depth of 15 meters, and a design wave height of 16.5 meters. Supported by four cylindrical legs, each leg has a lifting capacity of 3200T and a storm support capacity of 6000T. It can operate in the harsh sea conditions of a Category 3 hurricane (57.6 m/s) in the Gulf of Mexico during summer and is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping.
CIMC Raffles independently designed this platform to meet customer requirements. To meet the technical requirements of great operating water depth, harsh sea conditions, and strong lifting capacity, the platform features the world's largest diameter cylindrical legs, measuring 112 meters in length and 4.5 meters in diameter. It integrates the largest domestically produced hydraulic pin-type lifting system designed and manufactured by Wuhan Ship Machinery, and employs small pile shoes and deep mud design to enhance strength and facilitate pile extraction and insertion. Diagonal leg exchange without ballast water pre-pressure is achieved during pile insertion, saving 75% of pre-pressure time compared to single-leg ballast water pre-pressure. To meet the requirement of daily processing of 200 million cubic feet of associated gas, the platform features a deck area equivalent to nine basketball courts, with a three-dimensional arrangement of a 2700-ton gas processing module. This solves the complex pipe and electrical connection problems between the module and the platform, integrating various parties to complete the system joint debugging of multiple interfaces. The platform uses a green and environmentally friendly dual-fuel main engine, which can utilize recovered oilfield associated gas as fuel, effectively reducing emissions of sulfides, significantly reducing environmental pollution, and lowering operating costs.
In terms of 
domestic equipment, the platform has achieved a new breakthrough, with domestically produced equipment including Haihua Electronics' communication and navigation system, Zhengzhou Tianshi's pump tower lifting device, and Jiangyin Wolong's lifeboats. The domestic equipment rate reaches 60%.
The platform has secured an eight-year lease with Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) and will be deployed to the Cantarell oil field in Mexico after delivery, jointly operated by Mexico's TRESE and NUVOIL. This oil field produces a large amount of associated gas daily that needs to be recovered and utilized. This platform can process and compress this associated gas, reinjecting it into the oil layer to increase reservoir pressure and improve oil recovery rate. The platform is an effective solution for the recovery and utilization of associated gas in offshore oil fields.

On April 28, 2025, a ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and awarding national model workers and advanced workers was held in Beijing. Comrade Li Zhongjiang from Jingmen Hongtu Company under CIMC Enric, as an outstanding representative of industry skills, stood on the podium of this supreme honor and was awarded the honorary title of National Model Worker by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. This is not only a brilliant medal in Li Zhongjiang's personal career, but also the supreme glory in the development history of Jingmen Hongtu!
To commemorate the 106th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, on April 26, the Youth League Committee of CIMC Enric's Jingmen Hongtu Company organized a youth exchange activity for young employees themed "General's Spirit Illuminates the Original Aspiration, Youth Chasing Dreams in the Right Time".
