Following the national energy development strategy, accelerating the investment in the greening and intelligence of products, and vigorously promoting the research and development and application of clean energy equipment, helping to achieve the national goal of carbon emission reduction quickly.
With the continuous deepening of hydrogen energy applications, the company has established a special ammonia-hydrogen project team and started to overcome difficulties in the hydrogen energy field. At present, the company mainly focuses on the research and development of large-scale compressed hydrogen storage equipment, focusing on the development of large hydrogen storage spherical tanks.
Based on large-capacity, high-storage safe hydrogen storage, the company has successively completed the installation of hydrogen spherical tanks for projects such as one 200m³ tank for Shougang, one 200m³ tank for Anyang Steel Plant's cold rolling mill, and two 1500m³, two 500m³, and one 300m³ tanks for Jingzhou Feilihua. All of these are now in operation and performing well. In 2023, the company jointly signed a cooperation agreement with Hubei University of Technology for the 2023 China-South Africa "Intergovernmental International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation" key special project—"Key Technologies and Industrialization Cooperation Research of a New Type of Photovoltaic Water Electrolysis Efficient Hydrogen Production System." The company is responsible for providing the large-capacity, high-safety hydrogen storage technology and hydrogen storage tanks required for this project, and assisting in the construction of a hydrogen safety monitoring and intelligent early warning system.

Relying on years of accumulated experience in the pressure vessel field, the research and development of hydrogen-related high-purity ammonia hydrogen production projects and supporting high-purity ammonia spherical tank technology has been completed. The company has the ability to build 8000m³ medium-pressure hydrogen spherical tanks. Looking to the future, the company will focus on improving its core capabilities, giving full play to its strong R&D and manufacturing advantages in the pressure vessel field, actively engaging in hydrogen energy application research, focusing on the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, coordinating production, education, and research to jointly overcome challenges, promoting the technological improvement and breakthroughs of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain from production, storage and transportation to application, and making greater contributions to achieving the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, and promoting the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry.

On April 28, 2025, a ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and awarding national model workers and advanced workers was held in Beijing. Comrade Li Zhongjiang from Jingmen Hongtu Company under CIMC Enric, as an outstanding representative of industry skills, stood on the podium of this supreme honor and was awarded the honorary title of National Model Worker by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
